The Red Iguana

The Red Iguana is one of Salt Lake’s hidden restaurant gems. Although from the outside it may look like any other hole in the wall Mexican restaurant, the hordes of people outside on a Friday night will tell you otherwise. Famous for their mole and, my personal favorite, fajitas, the Red Iguana is as authentic as it comes. Just walking into the restaurant transports you into Mexico: the decorations, the tablecloths, the music, and the weekend mariachi band.

The Red Iguana was named one of the "Best 26 Roadside Dishes in America" in 2007 by Men's Journal and has won numerous other awards for their deliciously authentic food. Located on 736 West North Temple, this authentic Mexican restaurant will become a staple dining location for any Salt Lake adventure. For more information visit http://www.rediguana.com/home.html
